1943-1957
|
1943 to 1957 Cycle Electric Company is founded by Mr. Tan Ai Meng. Our company began its humble roots in a small corner shop at 17 Bencoolen Street. A staff comprising of 6 engineers provided marine repair services.

1957-1970
| 1957-1970 Cyclect secured several high profile ventures, which helped to further the growth of the company. Notable ventures include: i) Royal Navy contract to service their naval vessels. ii) Appointment as service agent for ASEA (now known as ABB). iii) A JV with a Japanese engineering company to improve and expand our marine services and capabilities. |
1973

1973 As the sales grew, Cyclect moved to a larger premise at Kung Chong Road. The company was renamed as "Cyclect" to reflect its modernisation. During this period, Cyclect employed 30 staff and had a workarea of 8000sq ft. |
1976

1976 With massive growth, Cyclect purchased an open yard and the workshop at Liu Fang Road, bringing the total land area to 100,000 sq ft. Our staff had grown to 100 members. It was during this period that Cyclect was appointed Taiyo and JRCS representatives for the South Asian region. |

1980s Cyclect had grown continuously and garnered a reputation as a leading service provider of various engineering services for the Marine, Manufacturing, and Process industries. Our growth also resulted in regionalization, with Cyclect offices established in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Phillippines, Brunei and Japan. |
2000

2000 Growth again required us to relocate ourselves into a modern 75,000 sqft factory located in Tuas. A modern infrastructure to house a facility of plant, equipment and people was built to service our ever growing clients in various industries such the petrochemicals, semi-conductor, pharmaceuticals, marine, offshore, oil and gas markets. |
2005

2005 Cyclect was awarded the TEC Innovator Award together with the Singapore Civil Defence Force by the Prime Minister's Office for our role in th research and development of SCDF's innovative Mobile Ammonia Scrubber project. |
2006

2006/7 With growth in the marine, offshore, semi-conductor, pharamceutical and chemicals markets, Cyclect was once again poised for a major growth. |
